The CHEF Mini-Grant Program was established in 2007 to provide funding to encourage novel, innovative educational ventures within the Cape Henlopen School District. It provides an opportunity to be creative and think “outside the box” to introduce new projects to your classroom. While seed money funds may be requested to initiate a new, recurring activity, the mini-grant program is NOT intended to subsidize ongoing ventures from year-to-year. Funds are awarded competitively, and there is currently a limit of $500 per award; for larger projects, the source(s) of supplemental funding must be clearly specified (see Section 5). Please be advised that the terms of the award require you to submit all receipts and a brief final report (highlighting project implementation, results, and future plans) prior to the end of the school year.
